SABIAN was founded in late 1981, when one of the world's great names in cymbal making, Bob 'Sabian' decided drummers deserve better cymbals. Not happy with the quality, sound and relevance of cymbals made at that time, he launched SABIAN. Located in the small eastern Canadian village of Meductic, New Brunswick, SABIAN - most notably The Vault, where cymbals are designed - has since become the global center for cymbal and sound innovation. Our ongoing program of discovery and design means today's drummers and percussionist have a larger-than-ever selection of interesting and innovative cymbals to choose from, with models ranging from vintage to modern, from highly personalized to whatever you need.

Regal was the first of today's major drumstick companies to have always manufactured its own
products. All manufacturing takes place on our premises in Niagara Falls. This allows us to control quality, innovate new products in our state-of-the-art machine shop, and design and build machinery to ensure consistency. This is but the beginning of a long history of innovation. The company has secured numerous patents and, as we speak, there are patents pending and numerous new ideas on the drafting table. The Regal Tip line has grown over the last 50 years to include the world's most popular line of drum brushes, timpani mallets, practice pads and the most impressive line of specialty sticks on the market today.

Audix, a wholly owned American Corporation, was founded in 1984 in Redwood City, California. Moving to their home base in Oregon in 1991, Audix is a shining example of what can be achieved when a vision is fuelled by imagination, passion, persistence, and hard work. Audix is one of the most recognized microphone companies in the industry, consistently raising the bar in the pro audio world with innovative, award-winning products.

In 1980, along with two close friends, Roy Burns formed AQUARIAN. In 1987 AQUARIAN began to make drumheads and the rest, as they say, is history. AQUARIAN experienced tremendous growth in a relatively short time because of innovative ideas and unique products of superior quality. As Roy says, "In everything we do, we keep the drummer in mind. We focus on helping the drummer attain a musical sound and achieve a better performance".

I am also the very proud owner of a set of Scandinavian Birch Sonorlite's from the late 80's. They are incredible drums and I use them from time to time as well
